After having to be delayed by a fortnight ProBikeWash showed off it's MTB Event Bike Cleaning skills in Peacehaven last weekend.
Once again working with the British Heart Foundation we provided our professional bike washing service for their charity riders.
Unfortunately this event had to be postponed due to inclement weather over the weekend of 28th & 29th July, which after a sustained heatwave made the route too dangerous to ride. Thankfully it was swiftly rearranged by the BHF team, Kate McCormack the Event Manager did an incredible job.
So two weeks later we were set up in Centenary Park, Peacehaven and awaiting the first riders, a couple of heavy downpours the previous days meant we were due some muddy bikes and we were not disappointed.
A quick thanks to Gateway Cafe for sustaining the Pro Bike Wash team with a very filling and delicious breakfast, it kept us going and it needed to!
After a full day of work from 10.00am to 6.00pm and many many MTB Event Bike Cleaning completed it was time to pack up and head home, a little tired and grubby but pleased with a good job done.
Great feedback received from the riders and BHF staff during and afterwards really cheers us up on the drive home.
